Is Marvel’s Avengers Crossplay?
Marvel’s Avengers was available on six platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, PC, and Stadia (though it was later discontinued). Unfortunately, cross-platform play isn’t supported across these platforms.
The game doesn’t allow crossplay with Marvel Avengers. Players couldn’t team up between PC and console versions. While you can play with friends on your own platform, you can’t mix and match.
However, Marvel Avengers is cross-generational, which is a positive. Players on newer systems can still play with those on older ones. The same applies to Xbox. It doesn’t fully enable playing with friends on other platforms, but it’s something.
Marvel’s Avengers doesn’t have crossplay, and the official FAQ suggests it may not happen in the future. This stance hasn’t changed since the first Beta. Technical issues and exclusivity agreements are likely reasons behind this decision.

Will Marvel’s Avengers Ever Offer Cross Platform?
While crossplay isn’t available now, some remain hopeful it could be added later, as it has been in similar games. Marvel’s Avengers is a live service game, much like Destiny 2, which took four years to implement crossplay.

The future release of Marvel’s Avengers across platforms is uncertain. While it’s not part of the current plan, developers will support the game until 2024, after which it will no longer receive new content, making crossplay less likely.
Exclusive content, like the Spider-Man DLC, has been integrated into the game, with Spidey only available on PlayStation. This exclusivity deal prevents Xbox players from accessing the Spider-Man character, even if they’re playing with a friend who has it.
Because of these restrictions and the game’s aging, crossplay for Marvel’s Avengers seems unlikely. Players may remain limited to their chosen platform without the possibility of cross-platform play, despite potential updates.
