How To Enable Crossplay In No Man’s Sky?
To invite friends, there are two methods based on your in-game status:
- If you’re actively playing:
- Access the Menu
- Go to Options, and finally Network to tweak multiplayer settings.
- Click “View No Man’s Sky Friends List” to invite friends using their unique No Man’s Sky code. This particular code enables players from various systems to join your game.
- To locate it, go to My No Man’s Sky Friend Code, then share it with a friend. If your friends are on the same platform, you can directly invite them through the Network tab or the friend’s list on the left side.
- On the Main Menu, click Multiplayer and repeat the steps mentioned earlier.

Does No Man’s Sky Offer Cross Save?
Unfortunately, No Man’s Sky lacks cross-save functionality, a significant absence, especially for transferring saves across different platforms.

However, it’s important to mention that on the Steam platform, No Man’s Sky does offer support for cloud saves. This allows for smooth transitions between PC and devices like the Steam Deck.
Unfortunately, transferring a save from PlayStation 5 to Xbox Series X isn’t possible. Despite the growing popularity of games adopting cross-save features, No Man’s Sky has yet to incorporate it.
