Recognizing this demand, nWay Inc., the developer behind Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, has taken a notable step forward.

Their game has become the first fighting game to offer five-way cross-platform play.

Is Power Rangers Battle For The Grid Cross-Platform?

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid was recently made available on Stadia, joining its presence on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. 

This achievement marks the first fighting game to enable cross-play across all five major current-generation platforms.

The game’s Twitter page celebrated this milestone, highlighting its pioneering status in cross-platform play.

For a time, Sony’s PS4 was the primary obstacle to crossplay, but it appears the company is now easing its stance.

This change will likely encourage more games to adopt crossplay shortly.

What makes this achievement particularly remarkable is that Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a fighting game.

Typically, fighting games depend on robust netcode to prevent lag during online matches, and cross-play can complicate this. 

Given these challenges, it’s understandable why other games in the genre have yet to attempt this feat.

It’s even more impressive that a Power Rangers game accomplished it first. 

Although the game will launch on Stadia on June 1st, it’s clear that nWay Inc has successfully tackled this challenge.
