Is The Division 2 Crossplay or Crossplatform?
Four years after its initial release on PC and last-generation consoles, The Division 2 maintains a robust player base and remains a popular title in 2023, thanks to consistent updates.
Yet, new and seasoned players often have inquiries about specific features in The Division 2. Specifically, there is curiosity surrounding the game’s crossplay and cross-platform functionality.
For those unfamiliar, crossplay allows users to play with individuals on different systems, while the cross-platform feature enables access to progress on alternate systems.

Is crossplay available in The Division 2?
Regrettably, The Division 2 does not offer any form of crossplay as of today. Previously, players on PC and Google Stadia could interact with each other, but with the discontinuation of the latter platform, crossplay functionality ceased to exist altogether.
If you’re playing on PlayStation 4 and wish to team up with a friend on Xbox One or PC, such collaboration is not feasible. Similarly, PC players cannot join or invite friends to play on different platforms.
While this is disappointing for most of The Division community, there’s hope that Ubisoft developers may consider implementing the feature in future updates.
Until then, you’re limited to playing with and against players on the same platform as you.

Is There Any Other Option For Crossplatform functionality?
The cross-platform functionality situation mirrors the crossplay feature in The Division 2. For instance, if you’re on PS4, you cannot log into your account on Xbox One; you must create a new account and start anew.
However, there is a glimmer of hope with cross-platform compatibility, as PC players can access their accounts through various platforms. If you own The Division 2 on Steam but wish to play on Epic Games or Luna, you can access your account through those platforms.
This feature is automatically enabled upon creating your account and does not require any additional settings adjustments. However, it necessitates purchasing The Division 2 separately on each platform you wish to play.
For example, accessing the game on both Steam and Epic Games requires purchasing it on both platforms.
