    Google Zerg Rush

They eat your results. You click them off.

Three hits each. They get faster every wave. Nothing you do saves the page.

Click fast. Drag across them if you’re desperate.

    You are going to lose

Worth saying up front. There’s no win condition. The little red circles keep arriving, they chew through your search results one bar at a time, and eventually the page is empty. The only question is how many you take with you.

Anything past 60 kills is respectable. Past 120 and you’re either very good or you’ve got a gaming mouse and no shame.

How to actually get a decent number

Don’t click the ones nearest your cursor. Click the ones already chewing. A circle sitting on a result is doing damage every second, and a circle drifting through empty space is doing nothing. People burn half their clicks on stragglers.

Drag works. Hold the button and sweep across a cluster and you’ll register hits on all of them, which is the single biggest jump most players make.

    Hard mode is genuinely unfair

Faster spawns, faster movement, and they take four hits instead of three. It exists for people who cleared 150 on normal and got smug about it.

    Where the name comes from

Straight out of StarCraft, where sending a mass of cheap units at someone before they’ve built defences was the rush everyone hated playing against. Google turned it into a joke and it became one of the most searched hidden tricks they ever shipped. It also got quietly pulled from search at one point, which is why people still type zerg rush removed and end up somewhere like this.

Other things that ruin the page

This is the aggressive end of the collection. Thanos snap does the destruction in one go instead of over two minutes. Google black hole pulls everything into a point. Google gravity just drops it and lets you play in the wreckage.

If you want to shoot at things properly, google space invaders is the one. Google easter eggs has everything else.
