Genshin Impact Version 5.0 Tier List
Main Tier List Updates
- Mualani C0: New Addition
- Mualani is now rated in the Main DPS category.
- Her damage is frontloaded, meaning she delivers a significant hit when using Sharky’s Bite in her Elemental Skill.
- Designed with Vaporize in mind, she excels as a single-target nuker with good AoE damage, given the right timing and setup.
- With the current lack of strong Pyro options, she is a top choice for single-target damage and can be a strong alternative to solo Xiangling or a Dendro character for Burning-Vaporize setups.
- Kachina C6: New Addition
- Kachina is now ranked in the Sub-DPS category.
- Her damage is lower due to her scalings.
- Unique in that she can use the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City artifact set, a robust set that enhances both her and her team’s Elemental Damage.
- If you lack those characters, she can be an alternative to Chiori or Albedo in top-team setups.
- Clorinde C0: Main DPS Tier Increased
- Clorinde has moved up in the Main DPS tier.
- Recent data shows she has strong survivability and consistent damage, especially in Dendro or Overloaded teams.
- This adjustment reflects her reliability in Electro-centric teams.
- Hu Tao C1: Main DPS Tier Decreased
- Hu Tao’s tier has dropped due to recent adjustments.
- Compared to Arlecchino, who is more self-sufficient and less costly, Hu Tao’s effectiveness as a Pyro carry is currently less competitive.
- Dehya C0: Support Tier Increased
- Dehya is now rated higher in the Support category.
- Recent additions to the game have highlighted her role in sustaining Pyro Application.
- She fits well in compositions with Mualani Vaporize, Arlecchino Mono-Pyro, or Chevreuse Overloaded Teams.

Adjustments to the Tier List
Adjusting a tier list is a careful and ongoing process. Changes can be significant, and each update requires a clear explanation. Here’s how we handle different scenarios during a patch:
- New Character Release: Initial Rankings
When a new character arrives, expect initial rankings that may change over time. These preliminary rankings are subject to further testing and adjustment. Initially, these rankings will be marked with a NEW symbol. - End of Character Banner: Final Rankings
About a week before a character’s banner ends, we finalize their tier placement. While these are considered final rankings, future characters can influence the performance of existing ones, potentially leading to adjustments. - Meta Changes
Significant changes in the game, such as new mechanics or powerful support characters, can impact our tier list. For instance, introducing Dendro altered the meta, causing characters like Shinobu, Keqing, and Thoma to rise in rankings. - Revisions Based on Feedback
Detailed feedback can prompt us to reconsider and adjust a character’s tier. We carefully review such feedback to ensure our rankings are accurate and up-to-date.

Updates for Version 4.8
Emilie – Sub-DPS Role (C0)
- Emilie excels as a Sub-DPS in Burning teams, greatly increasing her damage when fighting Burning enemies. She can also work with Bloom or Quicken teams, though her damage is less effective without Burning enemies.
- Emilie can act as a pseudo-Pyro applicator, crucial for maintaining reactions. Her Dendro application stays on the field with a 100% uptime, which helps with reactions like Melt or mono-Pyro teams.
- Her Elemental Skill has a small AoE, making it less effective in battles with multiple enemies. Emilie’s role is more relevant in current teams, but her impact might grow as more characters with similar needs are introduced.
