Exploding into the global gaming consciousness with the release of Genshin Impact, MiHoYo are have plenty more to offer. From their longstanding Honkai series to the latest release Zenless Zone Zero, let’s take a look at which MiHoYo games should be on your radar when you’ve had your fill of Genshin!

Who Are MiHoYo?

Founded in 2011 in Shanghai, China, MiHoYo are a gaming company who produce everything from video games to animated series, novels and music. Since exploding in popularity with the release of Genshin Impact in 2020, they have become one of the highest-grossing mobile gaming companies in the world.

MiHoYo’s Games: Ranked

1. Genshin Impact

If you’ve heard of MiHoYo, you’ve definitely heard of Genshin Impact. This is their magnum opus, to date. A game which took the world by storm by combining many tried-and-tested concepts into one powerhouse of an open-world action RPG.

From a captivating story to its iconic cast of diverse characters, Genshin is a joy to play for any RPG fan. The gacha mechanics fuelled MiHoYo with a steady stream of revenue, while also levying plenty of controversy. But regardless, the game is a marvel. Marking it as MiHoYo’s must play title.

2. Honkai Impact 3rd

Another action RPG, this time released back in 2016, Honkai Impact is Genshin Impact’s direct predecessor. Featuring many mechanics and gameplay elements which would later define Genshin Impact’s success. Albeit Honkai is set in a totally different world—this time a post-apocalyptic one.

    3. Honkai: Star Rail

A spin-off of Honkai Impact, Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based RPG set in the same sci-fi universe. Featuring the same cast of characters, Honkai: Star Rail will appeal to those who prefer turn-based combat or classic JRPGs, offering up a totally different experience to the Impact games.

If you’re jumping in for the first time, you can grab some of the best characters by searching for honkai star rail accounts for sale!

      4. Zenless Zone Zero

MiHoYo’s latest, Zenless Zone Zero (stylised as ZZZ) is yet another free-to-lay action RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world featuring a retro analogue aesthetic. The game has been lorded for its amazing animation and, of course, character design.

The game has a punch which Genshin and Honkai lack; which will greatly appeal to action RPG fans. While ZZZ has started out strong, as it was only released earlier this year only time will tell whether it’s impact is anywhere close to Genshin Impact or Honkai Impact.

        5. Tears of Themis

Onto a more niche MiHoYo title, Tears of Thermis is a visual novel game with otome elements, where players take on the role of a rookie lawyer investigating cases with attractive male characters.

It features all the captivating art and storyline which MiHoYo are known for, but is a relatively niche genre compared to the aforementioned games.

          6. Collapse: The Ninth Extinction

Yet another genre, Collapse: The Ninth Extinction is a mobile strategy game where players build their base, train troops and defend against enemy attacks. It kind of draws on Clash of Clans and Boom Beach; but in a MiHoYo styled package.

            7. Guns Girl Z

Back to their bread-and-butter, Guns Girl Z is another action RPG from MiHoYo featuring a team of mercenariesfighting against zombies. It’s  a 2D side-scrolling shooter from 2014, back when MiHoYo was still finding their feet—so it shouldn’t be at the top of your list for MiHoYo games to play!

MiHoYo have become one of the largest mobile game developers in the world, known mainly for their visual design and characters. All of the games on this list reflect their incredible craft—but to this day Genshin Impact still remains their runaway hit.
