Nothing falls back down on its own
Lift it and it stays lifted, drifting a bit, turning a bit, hanging there indefinitely. That’s the difference between this and every other trick on the site. Most of them are about things collapsing. This one holds.
The heavier objects rise slower and settle higher up. The logo takes a good two seconds to leave the ground. The small tabs are up almost immediately.
Steady versus drifting
By default everything wobbles a little, which reads as effort. Hold them steady and the wobble stops dead, every object frozen exactly where it is, and the whole scene goes weirdly tense. It’s a better effect than the drifting one and I don’t fully know why.
Let go
Don’t. Or do, once, so you get it out of your system. Everything drops at once and hits the floor with no bounce, and then the room looks exactly like it did at the start, which is somehow disappointing every time.
What people are actually searching for
Typing grogu google into a search bar is one of those things that spread by word of mouth after a show got popular, and most people arriving here have no idea what they’re expecting. Usually a character. What they get is a room where the page floats, which is the part of the reference that translates.
The other direction
Gravity tricks run both ways here. Floating google is the pure version of rising, no chamber, no rocks. Google gravity does the opposite and dumps everything on the floor for you to throw around. Google black hole pulls it sideways into a point instead.
